CP-NET wants to understand how different interventions work in the brain by using brain imaging. Understanding how the brain is impacted will help us to improve the interventions.

Genomics Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) allows us to investigate the roles genetics play which is crucial to our understanding of the complexity of CP, and may lead to improved interventions for preventing CP, and better diagnostics and treatments for children and their families.

Basic scientific and animal research is helping us discern the underlying brain mechanisms that cause or increase the risk of developing cerebral palsy, investigate novel treatment strategies, and gain a better understanding of how and why current therapies work.
